The American Flag - Flag Day!

FLAG DAY, TODAY!

I just finished reading through a few post, as I have been busy and unable to get on FB for a few days or more. Today is Flag Day and I noticed no one commented on this fact. It has been obvious if you have been out and about at all today! One thing that chaps my hide about our great country is the lack of respect so-called Americans have for the Flag of our Nation. I get totally peeved when I see people flying flags of other countries from their cars and homes.
We are the only country that puts up with this disrespect! You can’t take your American flag to other countries and wave it unless that country is hosting and sponsoring an American dignitary or a special American event. After the particulars are over, your flag has to go! You won’t see any other flag but the flag of that country. But here we see flags from all over, waving and proclaiming the nationality and citizenship of its owners. There should be an enforceable law prohibiting flying another countries flag except in an official capacity.
This is the United States of America! Not Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Korea, Japan, England, France or Germany! If this is where your loyalties rest with those countries and their governments; then perhaps you would be happier being there, where you can proudly fly your flag, in your country. If your countries are so great and better than America, why are you’re here? It is assumed you came to America to become part of this nation. Love your culture from where you came, but don’t disrespect our country and flag, by waving another over it!
American soldiers of all nationalities are dying for this country and its freedom every day! Back in the 1960’s there were bumper stickers that expressed a feeling that needs to be rekindled in the hearts and minds of us all; “AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!”
